Knots and Knits are a collection of homemade bags made by Megan Todd a local designer from Brisbane. Her choice of high visibility rope and knitting techniques are to die for and show what Australian designers are made of. These masterpieces are actually made by needles the size of tent pegs and the angles of the knitting make it impossible for your belongings to fall through the cracks. They express individuality and with the bright hand selected colours add attitude to any outfit. The texture of these bags is fascinating and showcase the designers free spirit when designing these must have bags.

OLIVER BAGS

Oliver handbags are off the chain! This Australian bag designer has taken bags and clutches to the next level. Although the see through bags have already been out from major designers like Jimmy Choo, these bags have more of a street edge and lets me honest, they are half the price!! 

By adding neon straps, stitching and fringes into the mix these clutches cannot be missed. These bags are a must have this season, just remember your bag is see through so keep notice of what you put in it!!! Here are some more styles from Oliver! She is awesome and I hope to see more out of her in seasons to come.

Style Queen KATE BOSWORTH

One of my fashion icons is Kate Bosworth. Her careless and unique style also holds a lot of elegance within her wardrobe choices, whether its for the red carpet, to day wear and festival wear. She is rather conservative in the way of the lengths in her dresses but seems to hold this sexy vibe about her with her styles and colours of dresses she picks. Her style is boho mixed with punk rocker mixed with vintage girl. If she wears a summer dress she mixes it with boots, if she wears daggy jeans and a T-shirt she wears a pair of amazing high heels. She knows the balance between what she wears and how far she can go.

Now Kate loves a good festival being a regular at Glastonbury and Coachella every year. She keeps her outfit simple and comfortable cause there is nothing more annoying then worrying about a wardrobe mishap at a festival. Kicking around usually in denim shorts and a t-shirt with some stylish boots then adding some lipstick and black big glasses she looks effortless and festival ready. Kate also knows how to rock gumboots or some wood say wellies. These photos just show the more simple your outfit the better.

Im pretty much obsessed with this outfit. She knows how to rock a red carpet. This cute grey owl sweater compliments the frill grey lounge fabric skirt. The black bow belt moulds the sweater perfectly into the skirt and makes it easy to accessorise a basic black clutch with the outfit. Her ankle high heeled boots are a perfect colour matching the beak of the owl if you can notice. They give her outfit a more grungy look and not so office like. Her choice of making her hair all messy and pulled back compliments her natural make-up. So all round this is one of my favourite outfits she has worn and one of my favourite of the winter season. So if you need some handy hints on how to look amazing look up Kate Bosworth. She kills it every time.

MIX-MATCH

Mix-Matching patterns, colours and prints is here and it's here to stay. And who wouldn't love doing it. Who would of had the guts to stand out in public wearing a spotted blouse like this Minkpink one with a pair of floral trousers from Boohoo.com? These days anything goes and the further you go with mixing colours, prints and patterns the better. Bright colours are here so have fun with them and don't be scared. 

Adding a bright pair of high heels would suit this perfectly. Just remember not to over do the jewellery as your outfit is already speaking for itself. So put your hair in a bun on the top of your hair and add some lipstick and your ready to hit the town. A bright clutch would also add the extra bit of edge that your looking for.

Now here is a example of wearing bright colours and mixing prints. Rachel Bilson is definitely a fashion icon who has been around for years and never puts a foot wrong. Her choice of tailored pants to match the floral design blouse fits perfectly but by adding a pair of leopard heels the outfit has been lifted and made stand out.

So here is an outfit that can be purchased on the website MarketHQ.com. These pants are made by Staple the Label. They are $130 which is a little bit expensive if your on a budget but they are made of silk. They are a 3/4 pant and the cut and material will help them sit well on most body shapes.

Jessica Hart has released her own designs which show her style and character through the designs. This floral blouse design has some amazing colours and will suit many outfits other then this one. The blouse is $120 but it is designed and selected by Jessica Hart herself so we should expect to pay a little bit more. The colours in this blouse will compliment the Staple pants which is exactly the look we are going for.

Add these Leopard print high heels from ALDO online for $50 and we have made a outfit that looks just like Rachel Bilson's red carpet look. Just remember to step outside the box and

German Sausage Dog Apparel

Last night I realised while playing with my friends sausage dogs Basil and Pepper that these super cute dogs definitely enjoy wearing their coats in winter to keep warm. Now I know dressing your dog up has become rather large throughout the years so I decided to look through different websites not only dog ones to see what is on offer to dress your favourite pets in your life!

These dog sweaters come off a site called pawspoint.com and only cost about $30 they come in a few colours and if you have a two dogs both from different genders this is definitely a big help! 

Also on pawspoint.com I found this amazing ibone Hoodie and i instantly fell in love. The screen printing of the ear phones and ipod are genius. 

 On American Apparel they have a dog section making extra cute singlets, tees and hoodies for most dog sizes. This plain hoodie comes in a range of colours and even comes in neon for this and next seasons colour fix!

This basic ribbed singlet is perfect for summer but also perfect for under the plain hoodie. It comes in a range of colours also and try and mix and match colours between the singlets and hoodies to make the outfit more fashionable and also dress with colours more appropriate to the sex of your dog.




So who knew that dog dressing has come this far that clothes stores are bringing in a range to dress your favourite pets in your life. You can shop for them and yourself at once! Now thats a win!!! Here's Basil my friends Sausage Dog! Way to adorable not to want to dress him up!!!

BLACK MILK LEGGINGS

If you haven't yet visited Black Milk's website then you haven't lived! Started off by making patterent leggings which they are famous for Black Milk has extended into swimwear, tops and shoes. The leggings are well priced at around $75 and come in a range of colours, patterns and bright eye catching designs. Nothing can beat a good pair of leggings that stand out from the crowd!

Whether its for day wear or night time there is always a pair that can fit your mood. Check out these gold metallic tights they look amazing and a perfect for a night out on the town with a few girlfriends. The boxed/triangular pattern gives the leggings a different dimension and who wouldn't stare at these? Add a plain tee thats all you need the leggings speak for themselves and if its cold all a black blazer and your set to rock the town with the girls

I love these Galaxy Leggings they are appropriate for nighttime and daytime use. The colouring in all the galaxy tights has been selected flawlessly and lets be honest we all have dreamt of being in space, this way they are on your legs for all to see. Have fun with these leggings adding over sized tops/tees, sneakers and even a wide brimmed hat for a festival would make you stand out from the crowd and make all the girls drool.

ROCKER never dies

Rock tees, biker tees and skull tees are a basic right to any girls wardrobe. It can be worn with jeans, shorts and skirts and can be worn out doing daily chores, heading out with a pair of heels and amazing for festival wear. Whether its with a leather jacket, denim jacket or hippy shrug as seen in this photo its so versatile and easy to make look good. Fergie, Miley, Drew and Kristen often wear  this outfit and definitely know how to rock it!!!! Rock tees are easy to get whether its your favourite band you just saw or some random biker shirt they can stay in your cupboard forever. I found a few great tees on topshop!!!

Cross cut off tees are always a winner and at $30 its a done deal!!

Basic tote bags!!!!!!!!! Easy to use for running errands, going to the beach and big enough to fit a overnight change of clothes. They have added prints, patterns and colour lots of colour!!!! These are a basic bag but add a careless look to any outfit.

This bandana tote bag is awesome and comes in a range of colours to suit any outfit and mood!!! They all cost around $39. Aussie brand Minkpink has now released a new range of tote bags ranging from $29.95-$39.95.

These are fun and a must-have!!!! and i'm sure the summer range is going to be awesome!!!

Every outfit can use some LIPSTICK

Its slowly moved its way back into the world of fashion but lipstick has made a major breakout in the last few years since being massive throughout the 1950's to 1979's. You can wear the most basic outfit and make it look put together by just putting a little Lipstick on!!! The range of colour has increased over the years. I mean how many shades of coral could there be??? But who wants to complain when there is so much to choose from?? Most makeup brands have brought out a range of lipsticks to suit everyday use to night time glamour. Red lipstick was the big comeback the past few years but bright pinks, dark purples, corals and even black have made it hard to resist this fashion must have. When buying lipstick I have found spending more is better as they really do last all night. Mac makeup is definitely my favourite but can be a little expensive when spending $30 a lipstick. Its always good to spend that on colours like red. Red is a colour you don't want to get wrong and needs extra attention. But for those who don't like to spend a bucket load on makeup Rimmel's lipstick range is fantastic. You can pick it up in discount pharmacy's for $10-$15. I mean Kate Moss even has her own range within Rimmel!!!! Here are some of the colours that are essential in my world:

When choosing what colour is right for you I usually spend quite the time putting lipstick up my arm.

It depends on whether you want a gloss or matt finish but that is up to the individual taste. I say step out of the box and enjoy putting lipstick on. It may just help you stand out of the crowd. 

Look at Taylor Momsen. Such a basic outfit and makeup but these bright pink lips give her the look and character that makes her stand out from the crowd!!! Just remember that a girl can never have too many lipsticks in her makeup bag!!!

Miranda Sure can rock stripes and jeans

She is a international well known model and Australia's own fashion idol. Miranda Kerr may be a Victoria Secrets Angel but in her everyday life Miranda is spotted more frequently in jeans and shirts. Not only a shirt she always knows how to rock a stripe top.

And there is a reason for this basic look. Stripes have been in since the the 70s they never date and always look classy and effortless. If i was to choose between a patterned top and stripe I know what I would choose. Stripes is something a woman should never throw away.

There are different sized stripes and to me horizontal stripes don't make anyone look larger then they are!!! Pairing a stripe top with any pair of coloured jeans will always be a easy option in your wardrobe. You don't need to spend lots of money when putting a easy outfit like this together. And here is a example of it:

Cheap Monday jeans are all priced at $90 but you can always find them on sale for cheaper. I really like the second skin style as they sit higher and make it easier to tuck your shirt into.

Minkpink Basic stripe top is only $30. You can find basic stripe tops in most stores but  find the quality of their basic range to last alot longer then other brands.

Minkpink Aviators. Always a hit and a staple. only $29.95-$39.95 just depending on the size you want in the lenses. 

Rubi shoes Boots only $39.95. They come in a range of colours as well. 

This whole outfit came to around $190 which is really cheap considering you have purchased a pair of jeans which will be worn all the time, boots which will go with any outfit and a stripe top that will never go out of fashion.

I think we can all learn from Miranda. She has all the clothes in the world but her old faithful jeans and top always make an appearance whether its with ballet flats for a day out in the city or sky high heels for dinner with her gorgeous husband. Simple is better and this shows you don't have to spend truck loads of money to dress like a star. But i guess we all don't have a cute baby like Flynn attached to our arms all the time. Isn't he the cutest accessory around???

NEON Necklace

So I know by the past couple of posts I look like a neon addict but I just found this necklace in diva!!!!

How awesome would this look on a all black or all white outfit!!!! It was only $14.95 which I think was a bargain considering it is going to look awesome!!!!!

The neon yellow also looks nice with a cobolt blue. Just remember not to over do it the more simple the better.

Sneakers SNEAKERS!!!!

Who would not love high top sneakers??? They have been huge in America and Europe for quite sometime but they have finally hit the Australian shores in a big way!!!! I love my Adidas high tops i got in America.

Chuck these on with your jeans and a oversized knit and Winter is going to be more comfortable then you think!!!!!
